Clear advice when an injury turns your life upside down

An injury can affect your health, your work, your finances and your family. Whether you were hurt in an accident or believe medical treatment has harmed you, we explain your options in plain English before you decide anything.

We look at what happened, what evidence is needed and what you may be able to recover, then guide you through each step of the claim.

Do I have a claim?

Answer two quick questions. This isn’t legal advice. It simply shows whether it’s worth speaking to us.

Did the injury happen, or did you find out about it, in the last 3 years?
Was someone else (a driver, employer, business or medical professional) at least partly to blame?

How No Win No Fee works

Most personal injury claims are funded through a Conditional Fee Agreement. You pay nothing upfront, and if your claim is unsuccessful you won’t pay our fees.

If you win, a success fee comes out of your compensation. For personal injury claims this is capped by law at 25% of your damages (excluding future losses). We explain every cost in writing before you sign anything.

Time limits apply to injury claims

In most cases you have 3 years from the date of the injury, or from when you first knew about it, to start court proceedings. For children, the 3 years usually starts at their 18th birthday. Evidence is easier to gather early, so don’t leave it late.

Frequently asked questions

What can I claim for?

You can claim for the injury itself, including pain, suffering, psychological harm and loss of enjoyment of life. You can also claim back money the injury has cost you, such as lost earnings, treatment and rehabilitation costs, travel expenses, care from family or carers, and changes to your home or vehicle.

How much is my claim worth?

It depends on how serious your injury is, how long recovery takes and your financial losses. We can give you an estimate once we understand your circumstances and have medical evidence.

How long does a personal injury claim take?

Straightforward claims can settle within months. More complex claims, especially clinical negligence, can take longer. We keep you updated at every stage.

Will I have to go to court?

Most personal injury claims settle without going to court. If a hearing is needed, we’ll prepare you and explain what to expect.

Can I claim against the NHS?

Yes. Claims for negligent NHS treatment are handled by NHS Resolution. Making a claim does not affect your future NHS care.

What if I was partly to blame?

You may still be able to claim. Your compensation may be reduced to reflect your share of responsibility.

Can I claim for a minor road injury like whiplash?

Lower-value road traffic injury claims now go through the Official Injury Claim service. We can explain your options and whether we can help.

Can I claim for my child or a family member?

Yes. A parent or guardian can claim on behalf of a child, and claims can be made for someone who lacks mental capacity.
